Isononanol

Isonananol (INA) is produced from octene via formylation, hydrogenation, distillation, and refinement. The octene is formed by the dimerization of butene. INA is an odorous, flammable, and colorless liquid. It is only slightly soluble in water, but soluble in many organic solvents. INA serves as a raw material for Di-Isononyl Phthalate (DINP), Di-Isononyl Adipate (DINA), Tri-Isononyl Trimellitate (TINTM). Additionally, it is utilized in stabilizers and lubricants.
