Hydroquinone Diethanol (HQEE)

Hydroquinone bis (2-hydroxyethyl) ether (HQEE) is an exceptional diol chain extender used in MDI-based polyurethane elastomers, known for its enhanced performance. It is utilized in applications requiring high-temperature performance, improved tensile properties, hardness, tear strength, compressive strength, resiliency, and resistance to abrasion and chemicals. HQEE is effectively employed in polyester and polyether-based MDI elastomers. HQEE reacts with MDI and MDI prepolymers to form crystalline "hard-segment" domains that efficiently microphase separate.
