Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol Polyol 220 (PTMEG 220)
CAS Number: 25190-06-1
Empirical Formula: H[O(CH2)4]n-3OH
Our PTMEG 220 is a colorless, transparent liquid difunctional polyether polyol with a softening point of about -5°C. The viscosity of PTMEG 220 is about 50-60 mPa·s at 40°C. This differentiates PTMEG 220 from other PTMEG grades, which are waxy solids at room temperature. In polyurethanes, PTMEG 220 soft blocks afford high specific stiffness, high specific strengths and higher glass-transition temperatures. This grade is used in self-healable, shape-memory restorative polyurethane structures.
