Gantrade’s P-series GCLink diamine curatives are based on the p-aminobenzoate esters of PTMEG (Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol) 650, PTMEG 1000, PTMEG 2000 and 1,3-propanediol (GCLink 740M). They produce high performance polyureas and hybrid polyurethane-polyurea systems in combination with MDIs, TDIs, other diisocyanates and prepolymers.
Because of their reduced amine reactivity and low melting nature (GCLink P-650 and P-1000 are liquids), these oligomeric diamines afford significant processing advantages with MDI, TDI and other diisocyanates. This includes a low mixing temperature and a wide processing window at lower temperatures, thus allowing a better maintenance of accurate mixing ratios and lower shrink values due to the lower temperature cure requirements.
Our team of experts possess the technical knowledge and expertise to guide our customers and formulators to the best solution for your unique application requirements. We offer a broad range of molecular weights for these diamine curatives to customize properties and hardness values. We maintain good inventories of products with packaging sizes ranging from 20 Kg. and 40 Kg. containers with a PE liner to 200 Kg. galvanized iron drums.
The shelf life of GCLink Diamine Curatives is at least 3-years when stored in the unopened, original containers and kept at ~ 20ºC. These diamines are slightly hygroscopic. When opened to the atmosphere they will absorb moisture and darken due to air oxidation. If the diamine curatives solidify on storage due to exposure to low temperatures, they can be safely re-melted by gentle warming.
As 2K polyurethane/urea systems, the GCLink Diamines are used in blast mitigation coatings, ballistic armor, adhesives, coatings and sealant materials, field repair kits and patching compounds, tooling resins, cold & hot cast elastomers, conveyor belts and spray applied polyureas. They are also used as epoxy modifiers to improve toughness and flexibility.
